A Cardillo's World profile of Coach DiBiaso, the winningest high school football coach in Massachusetts history. He won 17 Super Bowl titles across five decades at Weston, Everett, and Catholic Memorial, and was the first coach in Massachusetts to win one at three different schools. The spine is a long sit-down interview and his lifelong friendship with Steve Cardillo, whose family he grew up alongside in Everett. He talks about coaching the Gronkowski brothers and why he takes Brady over Montana. Rob Gronkowski, Bruins Hall of Famer Gerry Cheevers, and Pat Bradley send video messages for Coach.
I shot the interview as director of photography and cut the whole episode. Four cameras on the sit-down: the Sony FX9, Panasonic EVA1, Sony FS5, and a Sony Handycam, with a Canon CN‑E 18‑80mm cine zoom. Four angles kept the conversation moving without parking on one shot. I also built the motion graphics to match the rest of the show.
