Privacy Policy

Last updated September 8, 2026

This is a one person site. I am a photographer and a camera operator, not an advertising business, so there is very little to tell you here. I do not sell, rent, or trade your information, I do not run ad trackers, and I never see your card number. What follows is everything the site actually does, in plain language.

Analytics

Every page on this site loads Google Analytics 4 under the measurement ID G-LC6BQM9T52. It tells me which pages get read, roughly where in the world visitors are, what kind of device and browser they use, and which site or search sent them here. I use it to decide what work to put up next and nothing else.

Google Analytics sets a cookie in your browser and receives your IP address as part of that measurement. I see the results as aggregate numbers. I do not attach your name or your email address to any of it, and I do not try to identify individual visitors.

If you would rather not be counted, you can install Google's own opt out add on, or use any browser or extension that blocks analytics. Nothing on this site breaks if you do. Google's handling of that data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

The mailing list

The print shop has a signup form that asks for a first name and an email address. That is all it asks for and all it stores. Submissions are held as form entries with Netlify, the company that hosts this site, and they come to me by email.

  • Your address is used to send occasional notes about new work, new prints, and the book, and to issue you a one time discount code tied to that address.
  • The code itself is derived from your email address, so signing up twice gives you the same code rather than a second one.
  • Unsubscribe any time by replying to any email and asking, and I will take you off the list.
  • I do not share your address with anyone, and I do not sell the list.

Buying a print or a book

Payment

Checkout is handled by Stripe. The card fields on the checkout screen belong to Stripe, not to me, and your card details go straight to Stripe. I never see or store your card number. Stripe's handling of that data is covered by the Stripe Privacy Policy.

What I receive

After a successful payment I receive your name, email address, shipping address, and what you ordered. That is the information I need to make the piece, sign it, and mail it to you, and to answer you if something goes wrong. Order records also arrive as a form entry with Netlify so I have a copy I can look back at.

Books

Prints are made, signed, and shipped by me. Books are printed and shipped by a print on demand partner, Mixam, which means your name, shipping address, email address, and a phone number are passed to that printer so the book can be produced and delivered to you. Nothing is passed on for any other reason.

The one promise I will put in writing twice: I do not share your address with anyone, beyond the shipping details a carrier or the book printer needs in order to physically put the package in your hands.

Cookies and what your browser stores

  • Google Analytics sets a cookie so a return visit is not counted twice. That is the only cookie this site sets on its own.
  • Your cart is stored in your own browser so it survives a refresh. It stays on your device until you check out or clear it.
  • Small preferences, such as a banner you have already dismissed, are also kept in your browser so the site stops asking.

Nothing in that list leaves your device except the order you choose to place. Clearing your browser data clears all of it.

Embedded video and fonts

Project pages embed video players from YouTube and Vimeo, and the site loads the Inter typeface from Google Fonts. Loading a page with an embedded player, and especially pressing play, means that provider can see the request and set its own cookies under its own policy rather than mine. Google's policy is linked above. Vimeo publishes its own privacy policy on vimeo.com.

What I never do

  • I never sell, rent, or trade your information.
  • I do not run advertising pixels or retargeting on this site.
  • I do not add anyone to the mailing list who did not ask to be on it.
  • I do not store card numbers anywhere, because I never have them.

Your choices

Email me and I will act on it. You can ask what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, ask me to delete it, or ask to come off the mailing list. Depending on where you live you may have a formal right to some of that. You do not need to cite a law, just ask. Order records connected to a real sale are kept as long as I need them for tax and bookkeeping purposes.

Children

This site is meant for adults hiring a crew or buying a photograph. It is not directed at children under 13 and I do not knowingly collect anything from them.

Changes to this policy

If the site starts doing something new, this page gets updated and the date at the top changes with it. There is no archive of old versions, so the date is the honest signal.

Ask me anything about this
