Converse Theory Ad

Concept Spot·Blackmagic Pocket 4K·2020

About the Project

The Converse Theory Ad is a concept spot — a self-directed exploration of what the iconic sneaker brand means to a new generation. It was a chance to take a brand everyone already has an opinion on and reimagine its identity from the ground up, building the whole thing around a single visual idea.

My Role

I shot, produced, and edited it, all on a Blackmagic Pocket 4K, on a slider and handheld. I built a proper storyboard in pre-production, followed it through the shoot while making adjustments on set, then cut the final piece in post.

I made this back in my senior year of college and I still think it holds up: well shot, well cut, and a clean example of carrying a creative idea from a blank page all the way to a finished spot.
