David Guzmán is a Colombian tenor and Assistant Professor of Voice at Boston University whose work centers on reviving Latin American art song. In September 2024, he performed with the Leopoldo Quintet, named for the Argentine tango composer Leopoldo Federico, in a program of Argentine tango and Colombian Andean music for BU's Center for Latin American Studies.
I directed and ran camera. Two Canon C300 Mark IIs covered the full set, with Tentacle Sync timecode on both, so syncing in post was quick. Live music happens once, so you commit to coverage in real time and follow the phrasing as it comes.
