This year I ran ENG camera for Dirty Water Media on four shoots, from a World Cup watch party in Boston to restaurants in Newport and on Cape Cod. Their show Dirty Water TV airs on NESN, and the same team makes The Summer Stroll. Every one of these days was a host, a handheld mic and a room full of people, and I ran the camera and the sound on my own.
The kit stays light so I can keep up: the Panasonic EVA1 on an Ergorig, an on‑camera light, the handheld reporter mic and a wireless. Honestly, that's my favorite kind of shoot. A lot of ground to cover, and nothing happens twice.
The season started Memorial Day weekend at The Landing in Newport, Rhode Island, for the first episode of The Summer Stroll. I ran camera at The Landing and the stops around town, recorded sound off the host's mic, and grabbed B‑roll at every stop. The whole day is on The Summer Stroll page, with the episode.
On July 1 Clery's in Boston was packed for the USA's World Cup Round of 32 match against Bosnia and Herzegovina. I kept one eye on the screen so I was already on the faces when the place went up. The full story is on the World Cup at Clery's page.
On July 18 I was on the Cape at the Courtyard Restaurant & Pub in Cataumet, in Bourne, with host Brooke Alessi. It was an evening shoot in a busy dining room, with the interviews lit off the on‑camera light. The segment hasn't been posted yet, and I'll add it here when it is.
A week later, on July 25, I was back at The Landing in Newport for another Dirty Water shoot, same kit, afternoon into the evening. I'll add more here once that one is out.

If your show or your brand has a host going stop to stop, I can run camera and sound on my own and bring back the B‑roll to cut it. Send me the dates and the stops and I'll put a plan together.
