On Wednesday, July 1, 2026, Clery's in Boston packed the room for the U.S. Men's National Team's World Cup Round of 32 match against Bosnia and Herzegovina. The USA won 2–0 on goals from Folarin Balogun and Malik Tillman to advance to the Round of 16, and the bar went up with every chance. Dirty Water Media was on the ground to capture the energy for Dirty Water TV on NESN.
Dirty Water TV is Dirty Water Media's long‑running NESN show covering Boston's sports, nightlife, and culture, the same team behind this summer's Summer Stroll series. A World Cup afternoon at a Boston bar is exactly the kind of room they live in, and exactly the kind of shoot I love.
I ran ENG camera for Dirty Water Media inside Clery's, operating the camera while monitoring and recording sound from a handheld mic and grabbing B‑roll of the crowd, the bar, and the reactions. Shooting a live match in a packed room is pure run‑and‑gun: you read the crowd, anticipate the goal before it happens, and are already on the faces when the place erupts.
I shot on the Panasonic EVA1 with the Canon 18‑80, a compact, mobile setup that lets one operator cover camera and sound at once without slowing the room down.
Video coming soon. This recap will update with the finished segment once it airs on Dirty Water TV.
From packed‑bar watch parties to multi‑day broadcast series across New England and New York, I bring the camera, the kit, and the calm.
